Asheville, NC
This quirky city nestled in the mountains of western North Carolina is one of our favorite weekend getaways. A diverse foodie and microbrewery scene, eclectic boutique shops, and a thriving arts district all add to Asheville’s modern charm.
But don’t forget the history here, either! The Biltmore Estate is as close to a royal estate as you’ll find in the US. Art Deco skyscrapers grace Asheville’s skyline, and more than a few famous authors have called this spot home.
Myrtle Beach, SC
While the Grand Strand’s gorgeous beaches are the main draw, you’ll also find entertainment around every corner: golfing, resorts, the Boardwalk, the pier, and mini golf galore!
Why do I keep going back? To play all the mini golf. Yes, seriously! I prefer the state park for hanging out at the beach, but the oceanfront hotels have their advantages, too.
